Augusta’s future depends on good leadership, and good leadership requires a clear vision, careful planning, and the initiative to turn ideas into action.

Augusta is my home, and I care deeply about our people, our businesses, our families, and our traditions. My vision is to build on our community’s strengths while creating greater opportunities for future generations.

As mayor, I will work with the city council, city staff, local businesses, our school district, and residents to:

01

Expand attainable housing

Build on the work the city council and city staff have already begun to create more attainable housing for individuals and families at every stage of life.

02

Attract better-paying jobs

Expand our efforts to bring in new industries and economic opportunities that strengthen our local economy.

03

Strengthen our schools

Work alongside USD 402 to grow enrollment and support thriving schools.

04

Plan for responsible growth

Prepare for the future while preserving Augusta’s history, character, and sense of community.

Accountability
“It’s your money. I will insist on responsible spending, demand accountability, and keep a vigilant eye on how your tax dollars are used.”
— SHANE SCOTT

Meaningful progress requires cooperation between the city council and city staff, thoughtful planning, and responsible financial decisions. As mayor, I will listen to different perspectives, bring people together, and work toward practical solutions that benefit our entire community.

Our responsibility is not simply to maintain the Augusta we know today, but to prepare an even better Augusta for those who come after us.

Augusta has tremendous potential. With vision, courage, and a community working together, our best days are still ahead.

That is the future I want to help build.

Vision is important
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
